The outstanding marks for Oxbridge-tipped Ajmol Alom, 16, were revealed two weeks after he was ambushed by blade-wielding thugs.

He was awarded As in Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English Literature, Geography, Religious Studies and Citizenship.

Ajmol — who was considering a career in medicine — also picked up B grades in English Language, Humanities and Physical Education.

Chris Dunne, head of Langdon Park School, East London, called him one of Britain’s “brightest prospects”. He said: “I will remember two things the most — how hardworking he was as a student, and how very decent he was as a person.

“Ajmol would always have been the last person to boast of his ability. He was a keen sportsman, a talented boxer and dancer, a very good friend to his friends.”

The star pupil died from a stab wound to the thigh after he and pal Azime Rob, also 16, were targeted by mistake in a revenge attack in Poplar, East London.

Both were rushed to a nearby hospital but Ajmol could not be saved.

His shock death came days after proud dad Jahangir hired a supercar to take his son to his school prom.

The Met Police appealed for more witnesses to come forward last week.

Aminur Nazir Khan, 19, of Poplar, appeared at the Old Bailey on Monday charged with Ajmol’s murder and Rob’s attempted murder.

He was refused bail and will return to the court in November. Two other men, aged 19 and 21, have been arrested and bailed.
