Concrete editor-in-chief
I was editor-in-chief of Concrete, the independent student newspaper of the University of East Anglia (UEA), from September 2011 until May 2012.
This was a paid, graduate position which empowered me to manage more than 30 volunteers and one part time member of staff, as well as produce a fortnightly 48 page, professional campus newspaper, with the help of said volunteers.
This post also required me to manage Concrete’s Concrete, upload and edit all content and procure articles for each section with the assistance of section editors.
Further to these responsibilities, I solely generated more than £3,000 worth of advertising revenue for the publication, and expanded Concrete’s reach and interaction on our Twitter and Facebook pages.
